Our shoyu blends are available in two heat levels. The Original Blend will take you back to your keiki days of eating green mango with shoyu. The Hot Blend are for those who like it spicy. Best enjoyed over a crispy roast pork or fried fish!
Fire in Our Sauce
At Naʻike's Kine, our sauces begin with the vibrant flavor of Hawaiian chili peppers, grown on the island of Molokai. These tiny red peppers are the secret behind our unique and irresistible blend. Our journey starts from the very seed, carefully nurtured using holistic farming methods on fertile ʻāina.
Cultivating these peppers is a labor of love. We battle pests tirelessly for top quality. Our team removes fallen and stung peppers to protect the crop. Ripe peppers undergo meticulous sting checks. Then they rest a few days to eliminate stung ones before a thorough wash and processing using Na'ike's technique.
From Field to Bottle
Due to the amount of chili peppers we need for our sauce we source additional peppers from local growers to keep up with the demand. We depend on local connections for our exceptional sauces. After processing and blending, then mix with Soy Sauce and Vinegar, before packaging. Each bottle and pouch is hand-filled, labeled, and banded by hand.
